The Role
As a Manager of Revenue Accounting, you will oversee a team of accountants to ensure Mass Markets revenue and assigned balance sheet accounts are reported completely and accurately. You will also oversee and support fund reimbursement programs such as ERATE, Lifeline, and Rural Healthcare. Management of Revenue includes explaining variances and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for assigned billing systems and attending monthly meetings related to changes and new product offerings. Assist the Director of Revenue Accounting with additional projects.

This role has been designated as fully remote, US.
The Main Responsibilities
- Manage up to 7 direct reports.
- Ensure all end user billing activity from various billing systems is interfaced to the ERP system completely and accurately and are accurately reflected on financial statements.
- Review manual journal entries for accuracy and proper documentation.
- Assist business partners, such as FP&A, with monthly revenue variance drivers.
- Attend monthly meetings with Product Team in order to address issues prior to GL close.
- Attend monthly Margin Changes meetings to speak to any revenue-related changes requested.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations related to the revenue lines and billing systems.
- Attend monthly meetings and assist Technical Accounting with GL account coding for new products/offerings.
- Assist in new product offer implementation (journaling, reporting requirements, testing).
- Review codes quarterly for any issues to be addressed with Product/Technical Accounting teams.
- Review and provide guidance where necessary for balance sheet G/L account reconciliations according to SOX guidelines (includes A/R, installment billing, customer deposits, other receivables/payables associated with end user billing, deferred revenue).
- Work on ERP – S4 Hanna initiatives as requested.
- Oversee regression testing for IT change requests and system transformation initiatives.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required
- Extensive knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 6 years of total accounting experience with at least three years in a public company.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant.
