Role and Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Housekeeping Department activities throughout the center in order to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and member’s satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Is responsible for assisting in overseeing department budget, payroll, and team schedules.
- Ensure legendary customer service, spotless club environment, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure service standards are followed
- Address guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper departments as required
- Be responsive to member feedback.
- Hire, train, supervise, coach and evaluate housekeeping staff
- Train all new staff with the customized, club-specific cleaning checklists
- Perform daily one-on-one meetings with each shift MOD's
- Ensure adequate inventory of maintenance and locker room supplies
- Maintain high visibility during peak club hours
- Work together as a TEAM with all departments.
- Conduct new employee and quarterly staff safety trainings
- Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance
- Conduct a physical inspection of the entire center several times a day and make any corrections.
- Manage all logs/record keeping (OSHA, gift certificate, lost and found).
- Maintain safety standards from OSHA.
- Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered throughout the center
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment
- Assist with keeping the center well stocked and clean
Other Functions
- Uphold Active Wellness written policies and procedures
- Enforce policies fairly and consistently
- Assist in managing department Operational Standards of Excellence (OSE)
- Conduct staff operational and safety meetings and trainings
- Prepare an annual budget for the department
- Review, verify, and be accountable for department payroll submissions
- Submits purchase orders or expense reports for any and all departmental purchases according to established club guidelines
- Ensure all department staff members maintain appropriate certifications/licenses/permits as required by their role
- Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting
