Operations Assistant (Onsite - 5 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA)

Overview:
The Operations Assistant at Weedmaps supports the company with a very broad range of tasks targeted towards administrative support, office organization, cleanliness, shipping and receiving and general support tasks. The primary responsibility of the Operations/Shipping Assistant involves the upkeep of Weedmaps property to enhance and maintain our office space.  We are looking for candidates that come from a background who would be comfortable taking on the role of handling shipments with an eye towards keeping our Irvine offices neat, clean, free from clutter, and safe. This role is located in our Irvine, CA office, and is required to be onsite. 

The impact you'll make: 

• Daily stocking of snacks and beverages
• Maintain coffee making equipment
• Maintain cleanliness in food areas and around the office
• Manage inventory levels for bathrooms, kitchens, and office supplies on a weekly basis
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
• Manage outgoing mail such as preparing packages and creating shipping labels
• Assisting facilities specialists with daily tasks such as bathroom checks, moving furniture around the office and between buildings, etc.
• Assist with weekly purchases for office needs in accordance with company purchasing policy and budgetary restrictions
• Able to resolve tasks in a timely and effective manner. A sense of urgency is dire for this support role

 What you've accomplished: 

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Entry level position; 1-2 years of applicable experience
• Comprehensive computer skills 
• Ability to lift heavy items (50 lbs or more) on a routine basis
• Ability to multitask, communicate progress and meet deadlines,
• Ability to work with varied personalities under pressure; comfortable operating in a deadline-driven environment
• Attention to detail and organization skills
• Must be collaborative and high energy with a desire to contribute to improving the appearance of the office
• Preferred shipping/receiving manufacturing experience in FedEx, UPS, Amazon and USPS 

The base pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
