About the role

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Manage the finance, accounting and tax function in the entity/reporting unit.
  • P&L & BS responsibility for the entity/reporting unit.
  • Ensure full transparency of financial performance of the entity.
  • Business support: in case of necessity communication with main customers and supplies, group/divisional controlling.
  • Perform and manage the reporting processes – group and statutory reporting
  • Manage budgeting & forecasting (planning) processes.
  • Statutory accounting and tax reporting, including financial statements preparation and submission.
  • Manage ERP system upgrades & modifications – as required by tax & legal changes.
  • Be the first point of contact for auditors (internal and external).
  • Close cooperation with the entity management.
  • Manage the year-end closing process and audits.
  • Support GEA local & central projects, including restructuring activities eg. M&A, dissolutions, if applicable.
  • Managing area of tax compliance, including e.g. transfer pricing documentation, MDR reporting.
  • Close collaboration with internal and external tax advisors.
  • Cooperation with Shared Service Center (BPO).
  • Team management, including employee development.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • University, master’s degree in business administration, with focus on finance / accounting ​/ controlling.
  • Over 5 years of extensive experience within operational finance.
  • Deep knowledge and skills in accounting and controlling.
  • Hands-on approach in daily work – readiness to both manage tasks, as well as perform them independently if required.
  • Deep business understanding, especially engineering (construction) project controlling
  • Experience with long-term engineering / construction projects and Percentace-of-Completion (POC) accounting.
  • Work experience with SAP ERP system (FI/CO, SD module) – especially SAP S4 HANA.
  • SAP implementation experience will be an asset.
  • Proficient in English and Polish.
  • Analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, strategic thinking.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, proven to maintain & build up relationships and networks with relevant decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Leadership/management skills and communication competences
  • Ability to work in the modern reality: high work-load and informational pressure, manage to execute task with the limited resources and within limited time frames.
