Temporary Porter/Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Seasonal Maintenance Technician to assist with unit turnover during the move-out season. This role focuses on inspecting recently vacated units, identifying maintenance needs, and supporting general property upkeep to ensure a smooth transition between residents. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Unit Turnover Support:

• Conduct thorough walk-through inspections of vacated units to identify damage, wear, and necessary maintenance.

• Document and report required repairs to the maintenance or property management team.

• Ensure units are cleared of trash and debris (trash-outs) and ready for repair crews.

Turnover Coordination:

• Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and maintenance staff to keep unit turns on schedule.

• Help prepare units for incoming vendors or repair technicians.

General Maintenance Support:

• Assist with property-wide upkeep including:

  • Groundskeeping (sweeping, trash pickup, etc.)

  • Pressure washing exterior areas

  • Basic cleaning tasks or setup support as needed

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of inspections and tasks completed.

• Communicate any issues or delays promptly to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in property management, facilities, or general labor preferred.

• Basic knowledge of maintenance operations is helpful, but repair skills are not required.

• Able to work independently and follow instructions.

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Strong attention to detail and time management.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, during peak move-out season.
