Our Brooklyn studio is a tight and dynamic team that designs and inspires strategic solutions for some of the world's most loved brands, agencies and organizations including Nike, Google, Lego, Universal Music and over 200 others.

About the role
We're hiring a remarkable Associate Insight Director (min 7 years experience) to lead innovative strategy and insights projects, own streams on Canvas8's Membership Platform and manage and develop a local analyst team.
Whether investigating shifts in culture, society, technology or industry, the topics are varied. One day might be interviewing a scientist about the psychology of doom scrolling, the next steering a team to discover why teenagers have stopped playing sports.
Critical to the role will be partnering with our clients - proactively helping them achieve their goals. Whether reacting to their ambitions or responding to their brief, you will be designing considered and innovative client solutions.
The day-to-day
- Managing a team of analysts
- Developing key accounts
- Supporting Strategic Partners' team with pitching
- Mixed method strategic research design into trends and shifts in behavior and culture
- Leading strategic analysis and client advisory
- End-to-end project ownership, from design to delivery
- Membership stream ownership, from Live events to Editorial
- Owning timelines, deliverables and budgets
- Working across cultures and travelling as needed
About you
You have consumer trends, cultural analysis, strategy and mixed-method research experience. You have an impeccable track record of designing exceptional proposals, managing teams, owning insights projects and solving strategic problems.
You are an emotionally intelligent lateral thinker. Naturally curious, you push for better answers and enjoy delivering advice that gets people off their seats.
You are a brilliant writer, editor and communicator able to unlock powerful insights, intuitively understand client challenges, and reveal learnings through inspiring storytelling.
Requirements
- A minimum of seven years experience in an insights role
- Mixed methods research experience
- A lateral thinker and confident strategist
- A natural team coach
- Commercially mindset
- Exceptional communicator - on paper and in person
- Impeccable client management
- Natural organizer, comfortable with complexity

- Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 dependent on experience
