Program Manager, Business Technology & Insights (BTI) Studio
GartnerAbout the role
About This Role:
This is a unique opportunity to join the BTI Studio project management team, which impacts the Gartner client experience by ensuring our best practice, insight-driven content receives efficient writing, editing, and design support. As a Program Manager on this team, you’ll manage cross-department content production projects as the BTI Studio representative and take the lead in improving our systems and processes to drive efficiencies. Reporting to the Director, BTI Studio Project Management, you will work closely with writing, editorial, and design team managers; content creators and leaders across BTI; and other stakeholders key to Gartner’s ability to publish high-quality insights quickly.
What You Will Do:
- Plan and run projects and programs that help Gartner meet its content production goals by coordinating, implementing, managing, measuring, and monitoring the effectiveness of those programs. Influence the strategic direction and execution of all projects and initiatives. Capture operational and business requirements, and define requirements on behalf of BTI Studio for all cross-department programs. Manage projects start-to-finish, ensuring resources are used wisely and deadlines are met.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders of all levels, across regions and business units, to ensure everyone involved in a project understands expectations, has what they need to succeed, has a real-time view of project progress, and ultimately meets project goals and deadlines. For instance, you’ll set up regular check-ins; create reporting and tracking mechanisms; and document clear instructions for new processes and update them as things change.
- Advocate for and drive complex and often ambiguous change efforts across BTI, on Studio’s behalf. Help teams adjust to and permanently adopt changes with a clear communication and transitional support strategy.
- Guide leadership on which tools or methods will help us reach our goals. Track how well new processes are working by collecting feedback and analyzing data. If something isn’t working, figure out why and help us fix it.
- Use your expertise and partnerships to identify and raise potential business risks proactively; identify and drive innovations; help Studio find the right balance between moving quickly and overcomplicating processes; and become the “go-to person” for all BTI Studio processes and systems.
- Coach and support team members to develop their skills and provide seamless cross-team coverage when needed.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 7+ years’ experience supporting technology, publishing, and/or product strategy and programs within a large, complex global organization
- Demonstrated track record of managing optimized processes, projects and programs in a global environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of roles and titles
- Demonstrated attention to detail required
- Demonstrated experience and track record applying change management best practices to strategies, projects and programs
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills required
- Exceptional business operations, project management, analytical, needs requirement & organizational skills, IT literacy, numeracy, initiative, problem solving, rigor and attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills. Solid understanding of and ability to use databases, analysis tools, and standard business reporting tools
- Experience with Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) and MS Suite (Outlook, Teams) preferred. Experience with a content management system and/or project management system (e.g., ClickUp, Wrike, Asana, Monday, Smartsheet) strongly preferred
