Program Overview
Are you a high performing student who demonstrates leadership, curiosity, and a desire to make an impact? A High School Internship at The Hartford Financial Services Company offers valuable exposure to a real-world Fortune 200 environment where you will build relevant skills, strengthen core competencies, and gain insight into the fast paced world of corporate information technology. You will be paired with an experienced IT mentor who will guide your learning and help you explore innovative technology services.

Functional Team
The Collaboration and Customer Experience Team manages enterprise-wide IT services for The Hartford, including Microsoft 365 platforms:
- Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote
- Microsoft Copilot
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Teams
We are seeking interns who are eager to learn, motivated to build technical and customer facing skills, and ready to help innovate new ways of working. As a Collaboration and Productivity Intern, you will support virtual training programs and assist in developing high quality training materials for enterprise users.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in developing content for presentations and training sessions
- Create concise and professional how to and FAQ documentation
- Support customer questions in Teams discussion boards by researching and resolving issues
- Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Recommend and produce creative training materials including live action and animated videos

- Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
- Familiarity with Windows 10 and Microsoft productivity tools preferred
Other Requirements
- Technology related curriculum preferred
- Teacher recommendations preferred
- Participation in school clubs, extracurricular activities, community programs, or volunteer initiatives preferred
Location of Internship
The Hartford, 1 Hartford Plaza, Hartford, CT
Virtual, remote, and onsite opportunities may be available
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 24 hours per week (part time and temporary)
- Internship runs from mid June through mid August
- Typical working hours are between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Special Considerations
- Reliable transportation required for onsite work
- Must meet State of Connecticut employment eligibility requirements and successfully complete a background check
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
