Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to Support Senior Program Manager of Migration with day-to-day activities working on either Hanscom AFB or Lackland AFB with flexiblity to work remote & several days onsite for local candidates. 

 

The candidate that we hire for this role will be responsible for the following:

Supports the Active Directory (AD) migration of 300,000+ Active Directory (AD) user accounts and objects.  Supports the performance of a large, complex technical project in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Drives performance and the technical direction of the project through installation in accordance with project objectives.  Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.  Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.  Works closely with the Senior Program Manager and customer on a daily basis and provides status updates. 

 

What you'll do:

• Supports the AD Migration for the project
• Oversee Migration teams, including Peraton and subcontractors, to drive tasks to completion
• Maintains the Migration MS Project schedule and report status on progress throughout Migrations
• Develop plans and strategic documents
• Apply High Maturity concepts on assigned project and/or take appropriate training to be able to incorporate within project activities and provide recommendations to the program
• Occasional travel required; up to 25%

 

Supports the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

6 years of experience, may have lead experience

 

What you'll need:

• Experience managing IT related, or defense systems, large-scale deployments, (Network and Infrastructure Installation projects preferred)
• Well versed in life cycle project management methodologies
• Experience in tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
• Experience in Risk Management
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project Professional

 Security requirements:

• Must have an active SECRET Clearance  

 Location:

• Hanscom AFB / Langley AFB /or remote/availabe to travel to base. 

Deisred requirements:

• 6 years of experience with a B.S. Degree or higher   
• PMP Certified (or equivalent training)

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
