Biomedical Equipment Repair Engineer 1
Inova Fairfax Oaks Hospital is seeking a full-time Biomedical Equipment Repair Engineer 1 to join the team. Our dedicated team oversee and complete preventative maintenance, repairs, department sweeps, incoming inspections and recalls while providing the highest levels of customer service. This position will be scheduled Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm and will eventually be a part of the on-call rotation. We offer a competitive pay based on experience. Requirements for consideration:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in the repair of biomedical equipment or in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Perform diagnostic repairs/troubleshooting using electronic mechanical training and standard equipment knowledge to carry out repairs
- Complete and oversee assigned preventative maintenance and other scheduled services (such as installations, special projects, tagging of all included medical devices, department sweeps, incoming inspections and additions/deletions). Contact vendors to complete contracted maintenance, overseeing vendor performance and monitors completion.
- Responsible for accuracy of equipment inventory including, but not limited to the following: initial tagging of equipment, initial inspection, equipment additions/deletions and assuring accurate preventative maintenance schedule.
- Document service events on each medical device in the service management system database to ensure that the history of preventative maintenance and repairs is accurate. While demonstrating the ability to run reports out of the service management system from the database.
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate parts inventory in the service management systems.
