Qualified applicants must have completed:
- Bachelor's degree in Training and Development, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Business, Communications, Education, or related area, or equivalency.
- Two years of applicable experience.
This position is part of the Human Resources Organizational Development (OD) Department and is responsible for promoting organizational effectiveness by serving as a trainer in leadership development, as well as a coordinator, resource and liaison for OD activities.
The Leadership Training Specialist delivers training and education in a variety of settings, including but not limited to traditional classroom, eLearning, and small groups. The Leadership Training Specialist develops and presents leadership training on relevant leadership topics impacting multiple levels of stakeholders. Incumbent may be assigned in areas such as orientation, leader development, change management, employee engagement, or other areas as needed.
This position is not responsible for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities
- Utilizes the education process and adult learning principles to identify educational needs, develop training materials and lesson plans, and implement leadership development programs.
- Designs, develops and delivers training for leaders in support of ongoing leadership and organizational development initiatives.
- Creates lesson plans, training exercises and aids, reference documents, evaluation tools, and online training materials.
- Facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, eLearning, blended learning and on-the-job coaching.
- Designs and applies assessment tools to measure training effectiveness.
- Tracks and reports on training outcomes.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations on training materials and methodology.
- Maintains training records for OD programs.
- Schedules and tracks leadership assessments.
- Integrates research into programs and strategies as appropriate.
- Coordinates with subject matter experts regarding instructional design.
- Coordinates education programs and enrollment through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Provides team support to develop LMS / eLearning modules. Recommends solutions and best practices related to eLearning. Further develops and enhances training materials provided by stakeholders.
- Supports OD training efforts through enrollment, tracking and scheduling of training, venues and equipment.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Experience in creatively developing and conducting leadership training.
- Experience conducting adult education and demonstrated teaching proficiency.
- Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory, principles, methods and design.
- Knowledge of learning management systems.
- Excellent written, verbal and nonverbal communications skills with the ability to interact
