Reports To: Elementary Principal
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule: 52 Weeks (3 days/week in the summer)

Job Summary:

The Elementary Assistant Principal plays a vital leadership role in supporting the Elementary Principal in fostering a Christ-centered educational environment. This position assists in guiding and supporting students, faculty, and staff while ensuring the implementation of a Biblically-based curriculum that aligns with the mission of Rejoice Christian School. The Elementary Assistant Principal promotes academic excellence, spiritual development, and character formation in students while maintaining a structured and nurturing school environment.

Qualifications:

• Must be a committed Christian and demonstrate a Christ-centered lifestyle.
• Member in good standing of a local church.
• Demonstrated spiritual and organizational leadership.
• Minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience.
• ACSI Certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain).
• Completion of the Christian Philosophy of Education course (ACSI).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and proficiency with Google Education Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Essential Functions:

Leadership & Staff Support

• Assist the Elementary Principal in hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff.
• Provide instructional coaching, classroom management support, and professional development opportunities for teachers.
• Encourage and equip staff to integrate biblical principles into instruction and school culture.
• Serve as acting Principal in the absence of the Elementary Principal.

Student Support & Discipline

• Support teachers in addressing student behavior, discipline, and academic needs.
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with students and parents.
• Oversee student discipline, ensuring a Christ-centered approach that fosters spiritual and character growth.
• Collaborate with the school counselor to implement character development programs.

Curriculum & Academic Oversight

• Assist the Elementary Principal in evaluating and implementing curriculum.
• Provide guidance and support to teachers in curriculum planning and instructional strategies.
