Information Technology Intern - Goodwill

Job Summary:

This is an internship position for Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee Information Technology department. As an intern, you will work with a team on various technology related projects, participate and interact with fellow interns and colleagues. The internship will last approximately 8-12 weeks, 5 days per week. The projects and workshops may be in person, by phone and/or video conferencing.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Participate in information technology projects as determined by the Information Technology Department's Project Supervisor.
• Participate in skills workshops as determined by the project supervisor.
• Is knowledgeable of and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as legal requirements at all times.
• Demonstrates regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill's attendance policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Information Technology Department's Supervisor.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency with current computer technology and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Must have access to a telephone and high speed internet to complete assignments and projects virtually.
• Have the ability to learn new software as needed to complete projects and assignment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Able to coordinate and schedule multiple activities, projects and work schedules.
• Able to learn new processes quickly and possess strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills and must be able to pay attention to detail.

Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & Licenses

• Excellent written, oral communication, organization, and computer skills preferred.
• Entry level information technology skills.
