Summary of the role:

Be a financial partner to our internal customers by leading the financial modeling of strategic initiatives, projects, and products with the objective of maximizing value for Navitaire and Amadeus.

Define and deliver financial analysis, enabling Navitaire top management in different forums (Investment Committee, ExCom, Deal Desks, etc.) to make key decisions.

Support various internal customers (Business Line, Strategy, Internal Support Functions) in evaluating projects and products through financial modeling and analysis (i.e., business cases).

Provide proof for the Capitalization process through business cases, support the standard pricing definition process, and offer cost input for deal evaluation.

This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a hybrid role and would require you to be in the office 2-3 days a week.

 

In this role you’ll:

• Liaise with Business Line counterparts to identify opportunities for financial modeling studies.

• Develop financial business cases for the Navitaire portfolio and support go/no-go decision-making for strategic projects.

• Create methodologies to calculate product unit costs, aiding the deals team in assessing customer deal profitability and generating necessary numerical values.

• Define the scope and deliverables in cooperation with internal clients for studies under your responsibility.

• Drive financial analysis using best practices and adhering to corporate and financial guidelines, coordinating a team of resources from Corporate Strategy, Business Line, and internal support functions.

• Provide guidance and feedback to project members, ensuring that each study allows participants to learn and develop their profiles.

• Ensure that studies are carried out according to commitments to internal customers.

• Present findings and recommendations to appropriate decision groups (Business Unit, Pricing Committee or Pricing Desk, Deal Desk, Investment Committee, ExCom, etc.).

• If included in the project scope, supervise the implementation of proposed recommendations in close cooperation with Business Line counterparts.

• Track and report on the financial aspects of ongoing projects.

• Ensure that customer satisfaction is monitored and kept as high as possible.

• For studies under the responsibility of the Manager/Senior Manager, provide deliverables agreed upon in the project plan, adhering to best practices and corporate/financial guidelines, focusing on quality of delivery and commitment to internal customers.

• Support capitalization assessment of software development costs in the context of impairment reviews for different product business cases.

• Support other finance teams by providing information or validation of figures.

• Represent Finance in internal events, as applicable (e.g., regular business line checkpoints).
