What you will be doing as an Aircraft Parts Painter:  

You can expect to prepare, and spray paint a variety of aircraft parts. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):  

• Preparation of aircraft parts:  

• • Check parts to ensure they are clean and not damaged before hand-sanding the surfaces for a smooth surface before masking and priming  

• • Select and adjust spray gun per the instructions while mixing paint according to the specifications  

• Painting various aircraft parts:  

• • Use painting techniques (i.e. spray paint, dip paint) to coat all crevices of aircraft parts with primer or paint based on specifications  

• • Carefully inspect parts to ensure no dirt, dust, or other foreign objects appear in paintwork before baking in oven  

What you need to be successful:  

• High School education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required  

• At least one year of manufacturing spray painting or related experience is required 

• Experience using polyurethane, Hexamine chromium, and various types
