About the role

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

In this position...

To deliver world-class digital experiences aligned to our brand pillars with quality, speed, and scale, we are evolving from a program-by-program model to a platform-led approach. This framework enables us to deliver the 80 percent of core experiences that make our vehicles exceptional daily drivers and build long-term loyalty, while also delivering the 20 percent of domain-specific experiences that attract new customers to Ford.

As the Director of Digital Product, Build, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of the digital Build domain. This senior leadership role requires a deep understanding of Truck and Van customers and the seamless integration of software and hardware. You will work in close partnership with Digital Product Design and Engineering to define the strategy and drive execution, leading the Build domain across both retail and commercial contexts and ensuring differentiated, high-impact experiences for retail apex customers and business customers alike.

What you'll do...

  • Define and evangelize a multi-year digital product strategy for the Build Domain, balancing the distinct needs of "Build Personal" (retail) and "Build Business" (fleet) customers.

  • Leverage deep knowledge of the truck, van, and fleet industries to solve segment-specific challenges.

  • Develop and own the product roadmap by making rigorous, data-driven trade-offs to ensure resources are focused on high-value initiatives.

  • Cultivate deep customer empathy and lead discovery efforts to transform the requirements of truck and van users into high-impact digital solutions.

  • Apply a sophisticated product sense to balance "utility-first" requirements for commercial operators (uptime, cost, safety, productivity) with "experience-first" expectations for retail buyers (lifestyle, premium experiences, aesthetics).

  • Drive the full product lifecycle from initial concept and prototyping to global launch, establishing "North Star" metrics to measure success and ROI.

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Strategy, and Studio teams to ensure digital products are intuitively integrated into the physical vehicle environment (e.g., in-vehicle screens and controls).

  • Collaborate with senior leadership across the enterprise to manage dependencies, remove roadblocks, and ensure total alignment on Build Domain objectives.

  • Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring product managers and lead teams to reach their full potential.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Masters Preferred
