Position Description

Job Title: Donation Processor

Reports to: Donation Center Manager

Team: Thrift Store North
Position Summary: The Donation Processor is responsible for processing all donations from donors to retail through accepting, presorting, and pricing. They will provide excellent customer service to Wheeler Mission’s donors and show care and respect to all donations received.
Qualifications
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Brief description of duties in order of priority
Key Area: Customer Service
- Greet customers for donation drop-off and assist with the unloading of donations.
- Provide instructions for tax forms and offer assistance to donors as needed.
- Always ensure a positive and helpful interaction with donors.
Key Area: Processing and Merchandising
- Inspect, sort, handle, price, and label donations for sale at the Thrift Store.
- Recognize quality merchandise and effectively seek guidance on pricing from the Manager.
- Maintain the presentation and organization of merchandise to enhance customer experience.
Key Area: Warehouse Operations and Efficiency
- Operate pallet jacks and/or forklifts proficiently to move donations around the warehouse.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse by following instructions given by managers and collaborating with team members.
- Adhere to daily and weekly production goals while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position has no direct reports but may occasionally supervise groups of volunteers at the donation center.
