Job Summary:
The Senior Communications Strategist is a key leader on Allegion’s Global Corporate Communications Team. This is a full-time, salaried exempt role that reports to the Director of Global Communications.
This individual is responsible for leading a variety of internal and external communication and marketing activities focused on promoting, protecting and uniting Allegion. The work is highly collaborative with the full Global Corporate Communications Team and with a set of internal clients spanning corporate functions to regional business units.
The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fluid, fast-paced environment, where you are encouraged to push the envelope of creativity and work in a collaborative, team-based model. The leader proactively identifies opportunities and advocates for them; counsels' senior executives and business teams and delivers aggressive communication goals and timelines. They are adept at navigating ambiguity, making high-level strategies and concepts tangible, and working with a broad range of business leaders, subject matter experts and creative talent.
The daily work balances multiple long-term and short-term priorities across a variety of individual, team and client initiatives. It is a hands-on role and comprised of strategic planning, facilitation and project management; translating conceptual ideas into use cases, storyboards, key visuals; creating activation tactics, marketing and digital collateral, videos and training materials; and supporting corporate thought leaders and content creators.
What You Will Do:
Serve as the key point of contact and communications advisor for a set of core internal clients, leading strategic communication plans for internal and external audiences that span: mergers and acquisition (M&A) activity, ventures, divestitures, thought leadership, business strategy, crisis communications, publicity, media and public speaking opportunities, brand strategy, key corporate events, employee engagement, talent attraction and more.
Develop communications strategies and campaigns that promote, protect and unite Allegion as an innovator in our industry, with key audiences ranging from global employees, future talent, media, government, industry associations, communities, shareholders and analysts.
Produce and/or lead the development of holistic communications campaigns, talking points, messaging documents, event agendas and run of shows, presentations, press releases, articles, blog and social media posts, speeches, video scripts and story boards, and a variety of other content pieces that support executives’ and other company thought leaders’ strategic initiatives, as well as the overall Allegion business priorities.
