The Job:
The Change Management Senior Manager will be part of our HR Strategy & Implementation team and report to the Senior Director, Change Management & Strategy, working remotely as a non-managerial team member.
To provide a robust and scalable framework in support of our continued growth strategy, the Stanley Black & Decker Human Resources organization has launched several global, multi-year programs to evolve our strategic capabilities across the function. These programs – involving new ways of working – will drive continued performance excellence and innovation across SBD. The Enterprise Change Management team identifies and creates program-related strategies to ensure project objectives and solution functionality are effectively communicated across all stakeholder levels, and that new processes & technologies are adopted and sustained. As the Change Management Senior Manager, you’ll get to:
- Strategic Leadership: Support the shaping and embedding of comprehensive change management strategies, integrating best practices and ensuring realistic tactical execution plans.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with functional leads and project teams to plan and execute change management activities, engaging stakeholders and coaching leaders.
- Communications and Training: Support communication efforts and work with training leads to develop and implement learning materials for effective change adoption.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Define and measure project success metrics, monitor progress, and create systems to track advocacy, adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes.
- Risk Management: Identify project gaps and risks, develop mitigation strategies, and establish business integration approaches across initiatives.
- Execution and Support: Execute change-related tasks, translate project requirements into objectives, and drive development and execution of change management plans.
- Impact and Readiness Assessment: Assess organizational readiness for change, conduct impact analyses, and develop mitigation plans for potential risks leveraging standardized frameworks and materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor the impact of change management tactics, identify areas for improvement, develop and facilitate workshops to evolve organizational change capabilities.
- Grow the Discipline: Lead special & complex projects to build and strengthen enterprise change capability.
The Person:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, organizational psychology, or equivalent.
- Change Management certification from ACMP, PROSCI, or other methodology (preferred).
- 10+ years of corporate large-scale change experience, including enterprise-wide change capability building (preferred).
- Large scale IT & non-IT implementation preferred (ie Workday implementation).
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills, with the ability to synthesize complex project details into strategic, impactful updates.
- Experience in leveraging corporate social media and other e-based platforms is highly beneficial.
- Desire to broaden focus outside of traditional communications style and enhance Change Management skillset in a project-based environment.
- Ability to influence organizational change without direct authority.
