This is a remote position.
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM Mountain Time with 30 minutes unpaid break.Role Overview:
The Medical Billing Specialist will manage and optimize billing operations within AdvancedMD, ensure compliance, and support the team with best practices. While this position does not directly manage a team, it requires leadership skills to influence processes, train colleagues, and provide insights that enhance overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee billing processes within AdvancedMD to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
Collaborate with staff across departments to resolve complex billing issues.
Provide training and support to team members on billing processes and AdvancedMD usage.
Report on billing performance and team adherence to processes.
Serve as a backup for existing billing functions and assist in scaling operations as the practice grows.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or Manager.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AdvancedMD software (required).
Advanced Excel skills (required).
In-depth understanding of medical billing regulations, coding, and compliance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and influence others.
Strong problem-solving skills, especially with complex billing situations.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset.
Preferred:
Prior experience supporting growing medical practices.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
