About the role
Supervises: Employees in the Accounting department
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly closing of the General Ledger accounting system.
- Provide management oversight for the Fixed Asset subsystem and serve as backup to Director.
- Serve as backup for the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of cash accounts and daily cash reconciliation of cashiers’ receipt postings.
- Provide management oversight of annual escheat filing.
- Provide management oversight annual W-2’s forms and 1099 filings.
- Review monthly and quarterly payroll tax reports.
- Assist and review with preparation of quarterly profit sharing and 401K information.
- Maintain Accounting Systems so they are updated periodically and function properly.
- Create a variety of reports on ad hoc basis.
- Assist with creating and implementing policies and procedures.
- Assist with reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts.
- Assist with preparations of the annual budget.
- Prepare year end work papers and work with outside auditors
- Maintain neat and organized documentation and files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of financial record keeping procedures, laws, regulations, and standards.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and supervisory experience
- Healthcare experience is preferred
