The Patient Resource Team Manager under the direction of the Practice Administrator to assist with optimizing workflow and ensuring efficient completion of orders placed for patients. Orders may include referrals to outside providers, lab work, imaging, testing, or sleep studies. The Manager is responsible for training new staff, providing support to all patient coordinators and patient resource team members, and communicating effectively with all staff members.
- Work collaboratively with the Practice Administrator to recruit, mentor, and train new employees in the performance of their duties by establishing a clear training scheduling, setting goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues in a timely and constructive manner.
- Evaluate the team’s policies and procedures to ensure they achieve practice goals and are as streamlined as possible.
- Identify areas of improvement, efficiency, and standardization.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient’s orders to increase efficiency and quality of services.
- Effectively respond to questions or requests from staff or providers in a timely manner.
- Effectively addresses patient complaints, issues, or concerns in regard to orders the team is responsible for.
- Maintain communication with other department heads to troubleshoot office operations and potential problem areas where we can improve.
- Maintain effective, cooperative work relationships both internally and externally as it relates to the operation and business of Albany ENT & Allergy Services.
- Responsible for meeting with staff monthly for employee development and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum six to eight years of related experience in a healthcare environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of previous management/supervisory experience required. Able to manage employees in both a remote and in-person capacity.
- Able to analyze and use data for decision making.
- Ability to identify problems and find creative, effective solutions.
- Proficient computer skills including ability to master the EHR and practice management software; Experience with NextGen preferred.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in all interactions and communications with patients and their families, co-workers inter and intra departmentally, and visitors; demonstrate ability to be professional in all interactions.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work with staff at all levels, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, discretion, ethics, and confidentiality.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
