POSITION SUMMARY

Electronic Warfare Associates, Inc. is actively seeking a Junior Statistician to support the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research and Development (R&D) team. As the Junior Statistician, you will collaborate closely with the Team Lead within the Algorithms, Models, and Data (AMD) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of algorithms and models in support of electronic warfare projects. The AI Team focuses on TRL 1-5 projects, employing modern computer and data science to innovate solutions in electronic warfare. You will engage in cloud platforms, data platforms, model development, and tool creation.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

• Collaborate with the Team Lead and AMD team to develop statistical models and algorithms for electronic warfare projects.
• Contribute to research and development efforts within the AI Team, focusing on TRL 1-5 projects.
• Engage in data analysis, statistical modeling, and tool creation on cloud platforms and data platforms.
• Implement statistical methodologies and techniques to support project objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics or relevant degree such as Mathematics, OR 2-3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in any suite of data analysis tools (e.g., Spark, SQL, R, pandas/numpy/scikit).
• Proficiency in theory for any field of information science (e.g., statistics, machine learning, signals, information).
• Familiarity with fundamental algorithms, data structures, and programming paradigms.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with electrical principles, digital signals, and radiofrequency physics is desirable, but not necessary. Training will be provided during onboarding.
