About the Role

We are seeking an L&D Leader with Talent Management expertise to join our team and help maintain a culture of ownership, excellence, and velocity through effective talent management and development.

In this role, you will help develop a comprehensive L&D strategy, as well as plan, design, and collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts across our organization to implement programs that ensure our team is prepared for today's challenges and tomorrow's opportunities. You will also partner with the Senior Director of Talent Development to identify critical roles within the organization, assess current team members' potential to fill those roles, develop targeted development plans for high-potential candidates, and ensure a smooth transition of leadership when key positions become vacant. This will ultimately aim to maintain business continuity and performance by cultivating a future talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Talent Development to develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy that aligns with the Sierra Space’s mission and strategy.

  • Plan, design, and collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to create and deliver training programs that prepare the team for current and future challenges.

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Talent Development to identify critical roles within the organization and assess current team members' potential to fill those roles.

  • Develop and support the creation of targeted development plans for strong talent across Sierra Space to ensure a smooth transition of leadership when key positions become vacant.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to meet business needs.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in L&D and talent management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field of study

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing L&D strategies and programs.

  • Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews

  • Proven experience in identifying critical roles, succession planning, and assessing team member potential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience

  • Master’s degree in education, Psychology, Instructional or Graphic Design, o
