The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services (ES) team:

Position Overview:

As a key member of the RTX Enterprise Infrastructure Services team, the Director of Digital Operations role defines, selects, and deploys digital technology infrastructure services in support of the multi-year cross-company Process and Systems Transformation (PST) effort. Reporting to the Senior Director of PST Infrastructure, this operationally focused role will provide full lifecycle leadership of the hosting and platform infrastructure environment, from the hands on creation of a service support approach through the leadership of teams, driving execution of projects to build and integrate the environment as well as the sustainment and ongoing evolution of these services.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for management of ERP (SAP S4/HANA) infrastructure transition projects, operations transition activities, and future state operations management, participating in a cross-functional team to identify, review, and validate key decisions and deliverables.  This seasoned infrastructure professional will ensure the engagement and alignment of infrastructure peers, suppliers, and ES partners across the company to define and standardize our infrastructure technologies, processes, and skill sets, allowing the delivery of a highly automated infrastructure environment with minimal customization. 

This role creates the operational support strategy and roadmap, partnering with teammates and service provider partners to lead the build, delivery, and sustainment of transformation infrastructure project environments. They partner across the enterprise to define, negotiate, and execute operations support contracts, leading post-production transition service management activities with internal and external performers/suppliers/partners.

Well versed in multiple infrastructure disciplines (cloud, container management, automation, network, compute, ITIL 4 based service management, and storage), project management, and team building, this leader exemplifies RTX values and behaviors as a member of the PST Infrastructure team, realizing the RTX vision of enabling a safer, more connected world.

What You Will Do

  • Provide hands on leadership and support of operational infrastructure platform design activities and projects with a service management perspective in support of global, regional, and domestic ERP transformation deliverables
  • Responsible for ERP Infrastructure future state transformation operations & service management strategy definition, support model design, and execution of key projects to achieve end state
  • Lead infrastructure transformation project deployment activities from planning to delivery
  • Partner across the enterprise to define, negotiate, and execute operations support contracts
  • Lead the definition and collection of service measures, define service/operational level agreements
  • Lead post-transition ERP infrastructure service management activities with internal and external performers/suppliers/partners
  • Define, review, and validate key decisions and deliverables 
  • Responsible for ERP Infrastructure transition planning and execution
  • Build strong, cross functional teams
