About the role

Job Description Summary

The Senior Functional Leader – Upgrades Planning, Scheduling & Project Management is accountable for defining and delivering the global vision for upgrades planning, scheduling and Project & Risk Management across Inquiry to Order & Order to Remittance (ITR) within the Integrated Services Management (ISM) multi-year digital transformation program.


This role partners with Projects & Engineered Solutions (P&ES), Engineering Teams, Global Process Excellence, Global Operations, Regional Ops, and Fulfillment teams to transform fragmented planning and project management activities into a data-driven, KPI-led execution system. The leader ensures planning tasks, schedules, and operational milestones are unified into a single digital workflow—enabling real-time visibility, predictability, and performance management across the upgrades lifecycle.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy & Vision: Define and lead the global strategy for planning, scheduling and OTR project management for Upgrades. Collaborate with Global Process Excellence Outage Planning & Scheduling functional leader for field services planning scope; transform traditional planning tasks into actionable, KPI-driven workflows that directly influence operational performance, cycle time, and on-time delivery. Collaborate with ITO-OTR Handover functional leader for seamless Upgrades handoff and transform OTR project management to fully integrated cross-functional collaboration and exception management.
  • Process Harmonization & Operating Model: Design P&ES planning & scheduling and OTR project management processes within ISM, ensuring project plans are execution-ready and aligned with engineering scope, outage windows, and fulfillment demand availability. Translate engineering scope and milestones into executable project schedules, maintaining tight linkage between engineering deliverables, parts readiness, and field execution timelines. Manage schedule impacts driven by outage date changes, ensuring downstream effects to engineering activities and parts delivery are proactively identified, assessed, and re-baselined. Ensure Parts delivery readiness is integrated into planning decisions, partnering with Supply Chain and ERP+ teams so material availability, lead times, and constraints are reflected directly in project schedules. Establish the data foundation required for P&ES operational KPIs like Outage impact to delivery timelines.
  • Digital Roadmap Ownership: Own the functional roadmap for Upgrades planning & scheduling and OTR project management within ISM. Position Salesforce as the orchestration layer that integrates planning and project management data across systems. Ensure scalable, governed solutions that enable real-time schedule & project management and execution visibility.
  • Transformation Delivery Partnership: Serve as the primary functional counterpart to IT. Co-own solution design, validate blueprints, and shape delivery to ensure alignment with business priorities. Drive clarity on requirements, scope, and value-based prioritization.
  • Change Leadership & Adoption: Lead enterprise change management by aligning stakeholders, clarifying roles, and embedding new ways of working. Drive adoption across regions while enabling structured decommissioning of legacy systems in line with the ISM roadmap.
  • People & Capability Leadership: Establish strong functional governance, clear decision rights, and effective escalation mechanisms to enable speed and accountability. Build organizational capability to sustain transformation outcomes.
  • Legacy Application: Own functional accountability for legacy applications, ensuring committed backlog delivery with discipline while supporting transition and sunset plans aligned with the future-state architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 10+ additional years of experience in cross functional roles supporting Commercial, Supply Chain, Field Services, Region Operations organizations

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading service, operations, or field service transformations across regions using Digital Technology.
  • Strong background in process standardization, Lean, and operating model design.
  • Functional expertise with GEV Applications specifically Event Vision, Field Vision, RealTrack, SMWB, PLM, Primavera.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into scalable digital solutions in partnership with IT.
