Job Description

At QAD we are looking for a Senior Web Engineer who is passionate about new technologies, and wants to be part of the team developing and maintaining the QAD Champion Webapp serving the primary AI use-cases for various products within QAD. As a part of the Engineering team, based in the US and Europe, this role will bring you great opportunities to work on various projects, technologies, with a diverse range of teams. You will play a key role on a fast paced project using agentic AI to accelerate your delivery.

What you will do:

• Develop and enhance user experience with AI workflows in support of the various QAD applications
• Complete delivery work committed during the sprint to achieve business goals.
• Help the business maintain a competitive edge by leveraging the latest Web technologies.
• Rely on feature flags to rapidly deploy and iterate on new features and lower the risk of delivering software to production.
• Provide subject matter expertise during incidents to resolve customer issues quickly.
• Participate in forums to explore interests outside of the sprint work and contribute ideas to continuously improve the system.
• Commit to the team to help the team and the wider business achieve our goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Web Development, including 3+ Years of Vue

Technical skills (must haves):

• Deep expertise in the modern Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue 3 and the Composition API.
• Deep familiarity with Vite as a primary build tool and development server.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for building scalable and type-safe applications.
• Deep expertise in Vue core Libraries like Pinia stores and Vue Router
• Skilled in creating responsive, modern UIs with Tailwind CSS based on Figma designs
• Strong commitment to quality, with hands-on experience writing unit testing and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with Trunk-Based Development, Continuous Delivery, and using tools like LaunchDarkly for feature flagging.
• Strong knowledge about Vue.js and Typescript ecosystem and libraries

Nice to Have:

• Docker
• Experience using Mock Service Worker (MSW) for robust API mocking during development.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with front-end monitoring tools, specifically Datadog RUM.
• Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) Systems Architectures
• Generating endpoints and models from OAS
• Experience using agentic ai tools (e.g Claude code, Copilot) to speed up delivery
