Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Finance Business Manager to join its Corporate Finance team. We’re looking for a self-starter with very strong analytical skills, deep working knowledge/understanding of financial statements, an effective communicator, and a team player with a collaborative mindset who is passionate for driving change in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This is a critical role that requires high attention to detail.
Your Impact
- Drive the planning and forecasting processes for our corporate-wide GAAP P&L, which includes stock-based compensation, M&A transactions, and more
- Own the company-wide stock-based compensation model, which requires monthly updates for the corporate forecast cycles - In addition, this role entails running various grant and expense scenarios for our annual planning process, which is published to the Board of Directors
- Partner with the LRP finance team and People Team in the 3 year plan for stock based compensation, which includes deep understanding of the PANW equity compensation strategy
- Own the share count model for PANW and collaborate closely with the Treasury team on various scenario modeling
- Be comfortable driving deep rigor and technical analysis in complex equity awards modeling that have various dependencies
- Partner and influence across various groups in the CFO Org, including Technical Accounting, External Reporting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury departments
- Provide ad hoc support as it relates to HC, Opex, and other areas of the P&L
Qualifications
Your Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting - Advanced degree/MBA a plus or equivalent military experience required
- 7+ years related experience including familiarity with US GAAP and working knowledge/ understanding of financial statements; Investment Banking or Big 4 accounting experience a plus
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, capable of seamlessly moving from the big picture to the details and back.
- Power Excel user who is comfortable with large data sets
- Expertise in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Experience with and/or willingness to master various financial systems, including SAP, SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), Tableau, and other BI tools
- Strong team player, independent thinker with high intellectual and emotional intelligence; Resourceful and proactive approach to problem solving
- Deadline-driven, very organized, with willingness to adapt to the rapid business and organizational demands that result from a high-growth environment
