Responsibilities
We are seeking a mission-focused Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support and contribute to our government customer’s success in San Diego, California!
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
- Installing new releases, testing new and regression functionality of the NCL baseline.
- Working with the integration team to provide assistance to both the Test Partition test events, such as IT, and IV&V, and to also provide factory support to the O&S engineering team when there are issues on the production level systems to ensure minimized down time.
- Debugging and trouble shooting software and system level problem.
- Implementing baseline changes and responding to change requests.
Performing technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported functionalities.
- Create and update automated test scripts utilizing scripting languages such as Python and Perl.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI Polygraph security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or similar discipline and three years of relevant experience.
- Active Security+ certification
- Full time on-site work at a government or customer facility.
- A combination of the following: Linux+, Unix, Windows
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Perl to create and update automated test scripts.
- Ability to use verbal and written communication skills to present information to a diverse population (technical and non-technical).
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
- Knowledge of existing server technologies including principles and methods used in obtaining maximum utilization of server technologies.
- Knowledge of multiple specialties such as operating systems, email or database platforms, storage technologies, or hardware support, including knowledge of operating systems.
- Knowledge of Communications and Information Security policies and procedures.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to arrange things or actions in an order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
- Experience with update services such as Yum (RHEL flavor).
- Experience with scripting using bash scripts and programming using Ansible.
- Demonstrated experience working on remote Systems via use of command line.
- Demonstrated experience configuring Linux firewall/routing/networking.
- Hands on experience integrating Linux servers in Active Directory (or using LDAP/Kerberose).
- Experience installing and configuring basic services including httpd/Apache, ftpd.
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
- Willingness to learn Windows Systems Administration on a cross-function Agile Team.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions for routine issues and tasks.
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of theory and practice underlying satellite and LAN/WAN network operations.
- Experience automating NCL Library install processes.
- Scripting experience using Perl, Python or similar advanced scripting languages.
- Willingness to learn and implement Scrum framework, Lean principles, Agile engineering and DevOps.
Security Clearance Level
- Must have a Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance.
Certification
- Active Security+ certification
