Recognized as one of Forbes 2024 “America's Best Large Employers” and named to the Forbes 2024 "Best Employers for Diversity", Labcorp is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Social Media, Organic.

The Senior Organic Social Media Manager is responsible for executing the organic social media strategy for Labcorp. This individual will work closely with the social listening team and paid social team members to ensure a cohesive approach across all social channels and priority business campaigns. The role involves collaborating with various departments to accurately represent the Labcorp brand and story on social platforms. As a team leader, this person will manage a social producer and work with marketing teams to create compelling, creative content that brings the brand to life on social media while achieving business goals.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite at a Labcorp lab or Patient Service Center (PSC), depending on the story location contributing to a collaborative and innovative social media strategy. The other two days per week are remote. Candidates must reside in Durham, NC, or the surrounding area.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and continually refine a comprehensive organic social media strategy aligned with Labcorp's overall marketing objectives and brand voice. This includes maintaining an efficient intake process for content requests, managing the deployment of the social media calendar across all platforms, and proactively identifying opportunities for Labcorp to be more innovative and responsive in real-time social media engagement. The role involves staying current with social media trends and best practices to ensure Labcorp remains at the forefront of organic social media marketing.

  • Lead content creation, and curation for all organic social media channels, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content that resonates with target audiences.

  • Collaborate closely with the paid social media team to create cohesive campaigns and maximize the impact of both organic and paid efforts across all social platforms.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure accurate representation of Labcorp's brand story and initiatives on social media platforms, and work closely with the creative team on bringing initiatives to life on social.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of work experience in marketing or sales enablement.

  • Leadership experience, including the ability to mentor team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop and implement organic social plans aligned with business objectives, and execute initiatives to drive growth.

  • 1-3 years’ experience navigating the unique challenges and dynamics of the healthcare landscape.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.

  • Proficiency in analyzing social insights, customer insights, and campaign performance metrics to inform decision-making and optimize social strategies.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies to changing market conditions.

  • Basic understanding of paid social and how organic and paid social complement each other.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent voice across all social platforms.

  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with a track record of staying ahead of industry developments.

  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate social media metrics into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation software.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.


Preferred Requirements:

  • 7+ years in developing and executing successful organic social media strategies for large brands or corporations.

  • Advanced degree.
