As a Senior Director (Sr. Merchant) leading the Furniture and Mattresses categories of Home and Hardlines, your expertise, vision, and strategy will bring an exceptional shopping experience to life—both online and in clubs. By combining your category knowledge with Sam’s Club’s scale and reach, you'll directly influence business outcomes and help families save money and live better. You'll have the tools, support, and culture to thrive, grow, and drive innovation in the Furniture and Mattresses space.

What you'll do...
- Leading product strategy and development across multiple categories in Furniture and Mattresses.
- Partnering internally and externally to identify market opportunities, member needs, and product trends that drive growth.
- Developing and empowering a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
- Owning supplier relationships and ensuring delivery of value, quality, sustainability, compliance, and cost targets.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Brand, Quality, Packaging, and Sourcing teams to deliver exceptional products end-to-end.
- Using data and insights to inform decisions, iterate quickly, and optimize product performance and member satisfaction.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Developing an Omni Strategy and Member Focus: By identifying relevant trends to meet diverse Member needs.
- Growing your business: planning, budgeting, forecasting and driving growth for the categories and establishing a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and Member needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing cost and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans.
- Identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a Member environment; demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
- Building strategic relationships: Maximize relationships with new and existing suppliers, understanding and evaluating their capabilities and negotiating effectively. Proven ability to manage multi-year long-term contractual relationships.
- Managing a cross functional team: Build and lead team culture and connectivity to mobilize around meeting the Member needs and experience from full strategy to execution. Work with digital and in-store teams to bring the service offering to life in both a digital and physical environment.
