We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

This position does not offer relocation assistance. 

 

Job Summary

Working fairly independently, designs, implements, and maintains complex databases, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protections, security, documentation, and statistical methods. Monitors overall standards and procedures. Integrates systems through database design. Works with an individual business unit on multi-project assignments. Guides and advises less experienced Database Analysts. Is monitored on projects' progress and results. Errors may cause delay, expense, and disruption.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5-6+ years directly related experience.

  • Experience in the design, administration, programming and support of RDBMS/MDDBMS (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, Informix, DB2, proprietary RDBMS's) in one or more computing environments (e.g., UNIX, MVS, NT, OS/2, Web).
  • Excellent understanding of database management.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math or Business or technical equivalent.

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a company vehicle.

Office Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25%
