As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will lead the quality efforts for digital products within our custom software portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of the team's outcomes and product quality. This includes setting strategies for new testing methodologies and processes that align with business initiatives, as well as developing and enabling the team to execute comprehensive test automation code and test cases for Allegion products.

What you will do:

  • Provide quality leadership at the product team level, develop, and execute test plans to ensure Windchill PLM and other Engineering software meets specified standards and end-user requirements.
  • Exhibit a passion for quality engineering and a willingness to explore emerging test automation toolsets.
  • Coach and mentor quality automation engineers.
  • Develop and enforce standardized testing processes and methodologies across projects.
  • Identify and disseminate best practices in QE, Utilize CoE concepts to ensure harmonization of testing standards.
  • Translate product requirements into test conditions, design, write, and maintain test cases, including automated tests, to cover system functionalities.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand new features and changes, creating relevant test scenarios.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive testing of Windchill integrations with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CAD, Assent Material Compliance).
  • Review system requirements and design documents to ensure testability, test traceability.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working with an agile team to develop innovative technical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers, presenting and influencing as needed.
  • Demonstrate expertise in testing concepts, processes, design skills, and techniques.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases against software platforms.
  • Provide enterprise-level guidance on test framework architecture, test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.
  • Collaborate, negotiate, and work with cross-functional teams, demonstrating flexibility with diverse backgrounds.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts to find well-thought-out solutions.
  • Have hands-on experience in test automation scripting using GUI-based automation tools.
  • Experience with integrated test environments.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience as a software quality engineer in the manufacturing engineering space.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in quality engineering testing
  • Hands-on experience with next-generation test automation tools (e.g., Testim, Worksoft, TOSCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience with testing Windchill or other PLM systems.
  • Experience in API testing and testing grids (e.g., BrowserStack or equivalent).

Desired Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience working in a global, diverse work environment.
  • Expertise in open-source test frameworks, testing grids
  • Exposure to HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, TypeScript, jQuery, jMeter, and performance and security penetration testing.
