As a seasoned data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a lead data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good.  We need a data analyst like you to bring your expertise to the client's data lake environment to support machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence development campaigns to improve intelligence for our nation’s warfighters.

As a client-facing data analyst on our market team, you’ll partner with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on the client's data lake environment to support machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence development campaigns to improve intelligence for our nation’s warfighters.

How You’ll Contribute:

• Share your data analytics expertise with team members to support client and stakeholder relationships.
• Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets.
• Lead impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.
• Apply communication skills and analytical expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
• Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
• Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
• Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the leading Joint Combatant Command.

You Have:

• 7+ years of experience designing algorithms and data manipulation capabilities using programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL
• Knowledge of how to identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Ability to develop data pipelines and integrate data tools and solutions to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers to monitor and report on data
• Ability to work collaboratively with Intelligence and Data analysis teams to produce qualitative and quantitative data that support Intelligence products
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science field

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Distributed data or computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
• Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
• Experience supporting Joint Combatant Commands or other DoD organizations
• Experience with C++, JavaScript, and Go programming languages

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
