Overview:
Serves as a member of the Management Development Program (MDP) and participates in ten weeks of Core Training and one year of On-the-Job (OJT) training. Core Training responsibilities include participation in classroom training, observations of departmental presentations, interaction with senior management, peer networking, and working in teams on two group project assignments. OJT responsibilities vary by department and are assigned by the department manager. The position may be responsible for additional projects as assigned by the department manager or Leadership Development Manager-MDP.
Department Description:
The Corporate Communications Team serves as the central hub for content development, reputational management, executive messaging, social media presence, enterprise and business line communication strategies, and public relations and financial communications. We support the organization as communications advisors, partners, storytellers, content creators, and cross-collaborating experts to create holistic, purpose-driven messages, campaigns, and content that resonate with audiences.
This role offers broad exposure to the bank, with opportunities to learn about our lines of business, cross-collaborate in many working groups, and explore communication tools hands-on. You’ll help shape how we connect with internal and external audiences through content creation, campaign support, and social media channel management.
Department Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of clear, consistent messaging that fosters understanding, alignment, and culture across the organization.
- Assist in designing and executing social media communications, including short-term deliverables and long-term campaigns across owned, paid, and earned channels.
- Draft, edit, and publish content across platforms and channels, translating business outcomes into compelling storytelling features.
- May contribute to content creation while assisting in overall content production efforts including storyboard, shoot and edit videos using editing software.
- Conduct quarterly research and benchmarking using internal data and industry insights to inform social media strategy and assess the competitive landscape.
- Monitor engagement metrics and prepare performance reports to evaluate campaign effectiveness and guide future content decisions.
- Learn and use back-end workflow tools such as Sprinklr, Jira, and Workfront to manage content calendars and support campaign delivery across email and intranet platforms.
- Support ad-hoc communications projects, including executive messaging, press releases, speechwriting, and experimentation with emerging technologies like AI to improve communication effectiveness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Additional locations include: Washington D.C., and Boston, MA
- Bachelor’s Degree (or Master’s) candidate with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills with a strong balance of qualitative and quantitative skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow
- Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for storytelling
- Interest in digital platforms, social media trends and omnichannel engagements
- Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and is comfortable asking questions
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as contribute on an individual basis
- Must have 1 year or less professional work experience

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- While weekend needs are rare, this role may occasionally require a flexible schedule to support social channel updates or attend in-person events for live content coverage
