Job Description
The Program Manager (PgM) for Integration and Automation Tools will serve a key role in execution of GM’s mission to improve collaboration, reduce integration issues and deliver software more efficiently. The PgM will be a decisive leader who is comfortable negotiating with key stakeholders and communicating with customers. Their passion for their products and ability to listen and learn will guide them and others through changing scope and setbacks. The Program Manager has a customer centric mindset, makes plans, leads by example, and utilizes design thinking principles and practices to guide their decision making.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Lead programs from requirements definition though deployment, identifying schedules, scopes and implementation plans including risk mitigation
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget
Analyze and report program status and when necessary, revise the scope, schedule or budget to ensure program objectives can be met with quality
Lead process creation and documentation for program-related activities
Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders providing day-to-day contact on program status and changes
Create and manage core documentation such as the execution plan for product lifecycle
Additional Job Description
Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree In Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field
7+ years of project/program management or related experience
Skilled at analyzing unusual and complex design challenges to make data driven decisions in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders, leaders, engineering staffs and co-workers
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree In Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field
7+ years of project/program management experience in 1 or more architectural domains; embedded controls, embedded infrastructure, virtualization and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD)
PMP Certification
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to [Warren, MI, Milford, MI, Austin, TX, or Mountain View, CA,] three times per week, at minimum
- Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: $137,000- $214,800. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- You also need to include general information about potential commissions, if applicable.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payout
