Job Description

We are seeking a Sr Director, Global Demo Success to grow and lead our global Workflows Demo Solutions organization.  The Demo Engineering group provide demo content and automation for high impact software built to work with scale and ensure the availability of demos built on the ServiceNow platform.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Manage and lead multiple teams of product managers and demo engineers on the Demo Solutions team aligned with the ITX, EWF, CIWF, CWF, and Platform business units
  • Collaborate with the Demo Operations and Architecture program leadership and ensure alignment on day-to-day activities, priorities and influence long term strategy
  • You'll mentor, grow and develop the demo engineers
  • Management of departmental resources like recruiting, staffing, mentoring and maintaining a best-of-class demo engineering team
  • Help contribute to backlog by implementing strategic initiatives and goal alignment between teams
  • Provide strategic direction for aligning content and ensuring priority of solutions that highlight multiple products/solutions.
  • Participate in the Demo Architecture Council, and collaborate on the use of the Now Platform to best create an application architecture the drives scale and interconnectivity between demos 
  • Work closely with product management, design, support, and other dev teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Plan and execute a program based on organization priorities, context, risks and desired outcomes. 
  • Be comfortable and use quick thinking and innovative ideas to solve ambiguous problems
  • Deliver an outstanding experience for our customer

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you must:

  • 12+ years of software industry experience and 4+ years of experience as a manager leading demo software developers, product managers, analysts, or solution consultant teams
  • Aptitude for understanding new technologies quickly
  • Experience developing web applications at scale
  • Advanced understanding of software design, development, testing, and problem-solving
  • Experience with supporting troubleshooting efforts of difficult production issues e.g. memory leaks, network problems, intermittent failures etc. across the stack
  • Ability to hire top talent and build a productive team
  • Able to articulate broad concepts and use those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems. ​
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in the Now Platform and 3 years or more as a manager
  • Experience in a 2nd level leadership role, in an engineering organization
  • Experience managing software development teams operating in Scaled Agile 
  • Hands-on experience with open source tools and agile development environments. ​
  • Fluency in one or more relevant programming language (JavaScript, Glide, etc.) ​
  • Experience with ServiceNow applications
  • Experience working with Solution Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other demo stakeholder teams
