About the role:

Take a lead role in setting up and running extrusion lines, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, perform a quality sampling plan on extruded material.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
• After appropriate training, become capable of setting up and successfully running any extrudate relevant to BSIL.
• Ability to understand processing characteristics of different types of extrusions (tapered co-ex, multi-lumen interrupted, etc...).
• Ability to read and understand product specifications and their influence on process parameters.
• Ability to work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardizing, and improving existing production methods and procedures.
• Strong technical aptitude to understand plastics processing and the overall operating principles of an extruder.
• Communicate any concerns about the work process regarding environmental impact, health, or safety issues to their Manager.

 

Required qualifications:

• 3 years with an Associate in Arts degree/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
