Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) is seeking a Extra Help/Marketing & Communications Associate that will have a variety of duties in both units including social media management/graphic production, serving as a primary contact for a sport(s) and assisting with gameday operations. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create social media content for different sports, marketing outreach;

• Serve as the main communications contact for sport(s) as designated;

• Write game recaps, previews, and press releases;

• Game day marketing duties as assigned;

• Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Experience in a collegiate athletic department or setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Experience in all platforms of social media management; 

• Experience writing press releases;

• Ability to fill a variety of game day roles;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Adobe Creative Suite;

• Video/photography skills a plus;

• Ability to work nights and weekends;

• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team-oriented fast paced environment.
