About this role

In this role as a Security Researcher, you’ll dive deep into the cybersecurity landscape, analyzing threats and vulnerabilities to fortify Carrier products, services and solutions. Your role involves investigating and analyzing potential vulnerabilities in our connected offerings. You’ll stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, conducting security assessments and providing detailed reports with mitigation strategies..

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability research across different platforms, including hardware and software.
  • Develop proof of concept (PoC) exploits to demonstrate the impact of vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
  • Improve current tools and practices for bug discovery and evaluation.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments and research leading industry security weaknesses.
  • Support remediation efforts and instill security best practices in the product engineering process.

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters’ Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in IT technology domain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in offensive security research, with a track record of responsible disclosure (e.g., CVEs, publications, patents).
  • Strong skills in reverse engineering and automation tools
  • Knowledge of fuzzing techniques and exploitation methods (e.g., ROP, memory corruption).
  • Understanding of modern cryptography and common security issues.
  • Familiarity with micro-architectural attacks (side channels, fault injection, etc.).
  • Ability to conduct secure code reviews and apply code quality practices (SDL, threat modeling).
