The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&) organization is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies
- Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
- Develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
- Lead and implement manufacturing plans
- Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
- Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
- Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
- Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
- Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
- Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems
- Implement lean principles and technologies
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering
- 3+ years of experience working with manufacturing planning tools
- 1+ years of experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
- Experience in support of commercial and military customers.
- Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines
- Knowledge of machine shop fabrication capabilities including conventional & CNC machining, EDM, fit/finish tools & processes, and QA inspection
- Knowledge/familiarity with rapid prototyping processes & tools
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $96,050 – $129,950
