We are seeing an Executive Protection Operations Manager to spearhead all executive protection services and report to the Director of Global Security. This role will be based in New York, NY. This is a full time, onsite, permanent role.
This position requires prior experience in executive protection with national and international experience. Protection services will be focused on the Executive Committee and other senior executives.
Protection services will be required for corporate on-site and off-site events for the Executive Committee, as well as other company industry events attended by company professional’s such as the Regulatory Information Management System (RIMS) annual conference, Executive Committee off-site events, and conferences and forums.
Emphasis will be given to provide a complete security risk assessment for the companies Chief Executive Officers and other Executive Committee members, that includes, home intrusion detection systems, close protection services, reducing social media profiles, and personal security awareness training, to include Workplace Violence Protection, training, and other crime prevention techniques.
Close coordination with the Global Security Intelligence Desk is a key component for intelligence gathering, dissemination of social media feeds, reviewing global incident alerts, and other resources to evaluate the risk of persons and entities that may targeting the company for improper actions or activities such as protests, or other unwanted activity.
Travel is required nationally and internationally to conduct advance security assessments, provide on-site close protection services, and work with local enforcement agencies, both nationally and internationally to mitigate risk to our executive team.
Work with companies private and corporate international security providers to provide on-site staff, and supervise international close protection in high-risk areas, and for other locations and events.
Candidates should have experience in both providing Executive Protection driving assignments, as well as working closely with key stakeholders in the Executive Committee, the ability to use discretion and manage sensitive situations evolving executive personal issues and concerns, maintain confidentiality, ability to exercise ethical, sound judgement, and common sense, adaptability, and the ability to think and act independently. We will count on you to:
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key departments such as Office of the Chief Executive Officer, and other Executive Committee members, the Executive Services Group, Business Resiliency Management Department, and other corporate functions.
- Assist in establishing, developing, and maintaining the executive protection program, including managing approximately 4 staff members.
- Support and provides security on site for events and functions such as Executive Committee meetings, Board of Director meetings, board dinners, annual shareholder meetings, large corporate events, and other corporate functions where it is deemed that protective services are required.
- Engage with senior stakeholders in the Global Security Department to identify security and risk situations which may impact senior leadership, and other colleagues and make recommendations to mitigate those risks.
- Build and manage a portfolio of monitoring ongoing risks which may impact the organization and develop strategies to mitigate such risks.
- Conduct advance details virtually or on-site (travel, hotels, event venues) and brief key executives and their staff on safety and security protocols.
- Review and evaluate intelligence resources such as the New York City Police Department Shield Program, Private Intelligence sources, and Federal, State and Local law enforcement agencies regarding intelligence reports from confidential, open source, and third-party providers regarding the threat environment, implement proactive strategies to mitigate risks identified.
- Meet regularly with the NYPD Midtown North Police Department, or other appropriate Law Enforcement Departments, based on executive residential locations, within the United States and elsewhere, to develop a close working relationship, and receive and relay crime, safety, and other information that supports the security and safety of residences
- Coordinate security/logistical planning with other executive support staff, contract security personnel of other organizations, event planners, site managers, & law enforcement personnel where appropriate.
