Executive Director, Value and Risk Advisory – JLL
What this job involves:
Join JLL's Value and Risk Advisory team as an Executive Director, working within our global network of experienced, licensed commercial real estate appraisers who deliver accurate, reliable, and prompt valuations using local insights and industry expertise. This senior leadership role focuses on management of team members, workflow optimization, and delivering superior client outcomes while completing commercial real estate valuation and consulting projects involving complex highest and best use scenarios and discounted cash flow models. You'll be responsible for originating 30% of team volume, managing five or more individuals, and representing the JLL brand as the "go to" expert for your respective sector(s). This position provides counsel in financing, due diligence, risk analysis, financial reporting, dispute resolutions, and equity offerings while driving local presence and business development.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Focus on management of team members, workflow optimization, and delivering superior client outcomes
• Complete entire reports cover to cover to "client ready" standard while partnering with VAST members to leverage support
• Inspect properties for tier 1 clients where client interaction benefits business growth and coach analysts during inspections
• Originate 30% of team volume and manage account receivables on personally originated work
• Regularly attend leadership loop ensuring team members receive messaging and represent JLL at industry events
• Recruit team members and manage five or more individuals while coaching analysts through associate directors
Required Qualifications:
• State certified general appraiser license with minimum 5 years of holding CG license
• Successfully mastered all Senior Director skillset requirements
• Full competency in project management and/or account management skills, beginning competency in business development
• Maintain state licensing for specific geographic focus and pull temporary practice permits when required
• Ability to sign reports and manage team workflow effectively
• Experience recruiting and managing team members (five or more individuals preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Continue participation in JLLU focusing on career path alignment, professional skillset, people management, and business development
• Master Argus competency for national institutional team members
• Complete comprehensive exam and demonstration report within 18 months of elevation, submit AI application
• Present at local AI/IRWA/ULI events or publish trade magazine articles
• Experience managing analysts and senior analysts in achieving educational, licensing, and production goals
