Our Opportunity

The Executive Director of Systems Operations & Product Management will provide strategic and operational leadership for our HR technology ecosystem. This role will oversee the Systems team and have direct responsibility for HRIS platforms and integrated solutions - including plugins, Time & Labor Management (TLM), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Performance Management tools. The Executive Director will set the product vision, ensure seamless integration across systems, and drive enhancements that improve both client and internal user experiences. This leader will serve as a key partner across Operations, Sales, Implementation, and Service teams to align technology strategy with business objectives and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for HRIS platforms and its connected solutions (TLM, ATS, Performance Management, and plugins).

  • Align product strategy with organizational goals, ensuring platforms support both scalability and client satisfaction.

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify new opportunities, prioritize investments, and ensure ROI.

Team Oversight & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Systems team, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish clear goals, metrics, and career development opportunities for the team.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between Systems, Operations, Implementation, and Client Service.

Product Management & Execution

  • Oversee day-to-day product operations, enhancements, releases, and integrations across the HRIS ecosystem.

  • Ensure high standards of data integrity, compliance, and process efficiency.

  • Partner with vendors to evaluate, negotiate, and implement solutions that support organizational needs.

  • Drive requirements gathering, prioritization, and execution of system enhancements and new features.

  • Establish and manage quality assurance processes to validate system changes and ensure error-free releases.

Client & Internal Stakeholder Support

  • Act as the organizational subject matter expert on current HRIS environments and related platforms.

  • Ensure systems deliver consistent value to internal stakeholders and external clients by enabling efficient workflows, accurate reporting, and strong user experiences.

  • Support escalated client and internal issues related to system performance, integrations, or capabilities.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Oversee system security, user access protocols, and audit readiness.

  • Partner with Compliance, Audit, and Security teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and SOC requirements.

  • Maintain documentation of processes, controls, and systems architecture.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, HR Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) or 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in HR technology, product management, or systems management.

  • Strong expertise with HRIS platforms (e.g., PrismHR, iSolved, UKG, ADP, or equivalent).

  • Hands-on experience managing integrations with plugins, ATS, TLM, and performance management platforms.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering large-scale system initiatives.

  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
