About the role

Job Summary:

The Executive Director Site Operations oversees Information Technology (“IT”) leadership to support the mission, vision, and goals of assigned hospital sites. Develops and implements a plan that addresses governance; system-wide IT strategies, goals, and objectives; and tactical plans to match the site IT delivery with the hospital site’s organizational needs.

Works in a highly collaborative process with others within the System IT to ensure the successful delivery of all hospital site IT operational needs and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. He has responsibility for the creation and management of the hospital site IT budget and must make sure that quality and compliance standards are being met.

Responsible for Information Technology systems, assets, technology roadmap, and vision in support of Care New England’ s business strategy with scope that includes telecommunication technology, local and wide area network administration, office automation, applications, technical support, and coordination with other departments and external agencies.

Provide direction and leadership needed to optimize the technology solutions and the management of key site vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for strategic planning for technology infrastructure, information system assets, and telecommunication assets for the site matching with the system wide objectives with a clear business outcome.
• Takes on full operational management responsibility for the site managers at each CNE location responsible for information architecture and telecommunication technology functions and services at the site. Makes sure that IT team meets requirements for providing ongoing support, including coordination of “on call” resources. Makes sure customer satisfaction throughout all support processes. Collaborates with Service Desk management on potential improvements.
• Makes sure that site manager and contracted resources provide appropriate implementation and support for medical, business, and clinical systems by managing and coordinating development/maintenance, data processing, data center infrastructure, local/wide area network administration, office automation, and technical support activities.
• Engages, builds, and partners with various executive leaders and key stakeholders to make sure that activities from the site manager and contracted resources are in alignment with current business objectives, as well as long term vision of the system, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Responsible for optimizing the IT demands and the supply capacity of the teams to prioritize the assignment of resources via site manager and contracted resources. Creates an engaged and high performing team of site managers.
• Develops and tracks the objectives for operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the IT systems and a plan for continuous improvement of the service levels and roadmap applying best practices across all CNE locations.
• Manages and shares monthly reports on service levels for infrastructure, development, operations, and vendor management activities site managers.
• Provides expertise and leadership in selection and management of vendors to provide low-cost, high efficiency solutions, which are size-appropriate for the current environment while being able to expand as the organization grows.
• Provides leadership in implementing IT policies and site-specific operational procedures that affect the IT infrastructure's reliability.
• Assists with EPIC Deployment and Post Live Support.
• Maintains and enhances professional expertise and skills through participation in appropriate educational and training seminars related to Information Technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related area
  • Minimum 7 Years Experience in IT operations, including 3-5 in IT leadership role
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management expertise.
  • Outstanding verbal and communication skills, great presentation skills, and ability to motivate team members.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with strong critical thinking, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Operational expertise of multiple computer operating systems, platforms, hardware, software, networks, and database applications in various cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of information system testing, evaluation, analysis, and security administration.
  • Knowledge of the concepts and principles of emerging technologies within the healthcare medical, clinical, and business fields.
