About the role
Model N is hiring an Executive Compensation and Equity Specialist on a contract basis (6-month assignment; part-time with the potential for up to 40 hours). This role can be fully remote or have a hybrid schedule at our San Mateo, CA office. Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, this position maintains responsibility for executive compensation programs and duties related to Model N’s Compensation Committee, including materials prep for the quarterly meetings, and leadinga few key broad-based compensation projects. . This is a “hands-on” role requiring an experienced professional with deep knowledge across executive compensation, equity program design as well as experience withbroad-based compensation programs and benefits to provide as-needed support to our Total Rewards team and make a critical impact on the Company’s overall talent strategy.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of deliverables for our quarterly Comp Committee meetings and co-facilitate these meetings with the CPO.
- Maintain equity forecast and burn calculations and present insights at Comp Committee meetings.
- Manage quarterly equity grant cycle.
- Reviewcurrent equity program and propose a long-term roadmap for broad-based equity participationand guidelines that is market competitive while keeping in mind our available equity pool.
- Lead selection of go-forward India market pricingvendor, and propose and implement changes to current market pricing approach to ensure alignment with our global compensation philosophy.
- In collaboration with Legal, prepare executive compensation materials and documentation necessary for required filings, the annual proxy statement and annual shareholder meeting
- Provide strategic and hands-on support as needed to our Global Compensation Manager on various broad-based compensation projects, including: updates to our job architecture and salary structures, manager training, Workday Advanced Comp configuration and planning for the Fall compensation cycle.
- Provide support as needed to our Global Benefits Manager on various projects, including: planning ahead for annual renewals and Open Enrollment, quarterly 401k Committee meetings, ensuring our communication platforms make it easy for employees to understand available benefits/perks and key processes.
Requirements
- 10-12 years’ experience in Compensation and must have deep knowledge of equity program design, and global base salary market pricing (familiarity with the India market required).
- Demonstrated experience in Executive Compensation (consulting or corporate setting), with projects that cover annual and long-term incentive or Executive Compensation design.
- Strong business acumen and has a credibility to liaise with and communicate effectively with senior management, CEO's, Board members, and the Compensation Committee.
- Tech industry experience required, preferably in a public company environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing and presenting for Compensation Committee meetings.
- Expert knowledge of Excel. Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making.
- Knowledge of sales incentive plan design and commission structures a plus.
- Possess high level of integrity and commitment to teamwork.
- Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on problem solving.
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a commitment to collaboration and partnership with other COE areas.
- Focused on best practices and market trends - always interested in staying knowledgeable about compensation trends and changing market dynamics that may impact Model N’s rewards strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Business administration, finance, economics, or other quantitative focus preferred.
