What You’ll Do: 

We are seeking a dedicated individual who can support all aspects of Union Heritage, and drive efficiency for the Managing Partner, Managing Director, and team overall. Our ideal candidate is extremely organized and detail oriented, adept at prioritizing and multitasking, takes initiative, and constantly thinks one step ahead.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Planning agendas, documenting notes, and managing follow-ups for team meetings across all three lines of business
  • Manage scheduling and the administrative calendar for the firm’s Managing Partner and Managing Director
  • Manage email and follow-up communications for Managing Partner/Director
  • Attending meetings and events with the General Partners (GPs) and following up on all action items 
  • Providing GPs with relevant briefing information on a consistent basis
  • Identifying areas that need immediate attention and ensuring they are prioritized by the GPs
  • Maintain fundraising tracker across Venture Capital and Philanthropic Investment arms of the business 
  • Operational support of Platform activities, managing the flow of information with founders and vendors 
  • Support the tracking of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable 
  • Keep organizational and operational systems running efficiently, and implementing improvements when identified 
  • Oversee office management, supply inventory, coordinating with vendors
  • Support event planning and execution, including travel planning for the GPs when applicable
  • Support special projects and additional tasks, as needed

Requirements

Who You Are: 

  • 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in an administrative or project management related role 
  • Based in Detroit with ability to be in the office 2-3 days/week
  • Available to start by early November 2025
  • Excitement to work in a startup environment and support underrepresented founders in the Michigan ecosystem
  • Willingness to perform a variety of roles and to collaborate successfully on a lean team, in a fast paced environment  
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail 
  • Strong time management skills, managing consistent and efficient follow-up 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Solutions oriented and proactive, to keep things moving forward across the firm
  • Proficiency with the following programs is required: 
    • Google Workspace suite of products (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
    • Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Office 265, OneDrive, etc).
    • Zoom
    • Adobe Acrobat
  • Working knowledge of the following programs is ideal: 
    • Monday.com
    • Docusign
    • Docsend 
  • Unmatched integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
