Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support services to government leaders in the Department of Defense.
Administrative support tasks shall support the scope of duties within the Secretariat for Special Operations (OASD SO/LIC) Business Operations.
Generally, the administrative assistant must have experience and working knowledge of DoD processes and regulations as they apply to administrative duties.
Candidate will be oriented with SSO Business Operations processes and must be willing to learn on the job.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience supporting the DoD in an administrative role.
Working knowledge of travel management to include Passport processing, prepares and receives visit requests for meetings, reviewing authorizations/vouchers for accuracy and assisting with weekly/monthly required report actions for Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC).
Working knowledge of correspondence management to include day-to-day distribution of CATMS taskings, Issuances, FOIAs, GAO reports and records management
Working knowledge of human resource management to include civilian and military onboarding, awards, performance, timekeeping, promotions, hiring actions, and position classifications.
Candidates will be required to work with other members of the Business Operations team, as well as internal/external partners to accomplish the organization’s administrative requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
General working knowledge of facilities management to include low level facilities, parking and submitting/tracking MAXIMO requests.
Excellent communication skills
Clearance Requirement: Must have an active DoD Secret
