Annual Salary Range: $67,000 - $75,000

This position will remain open until filled  

Job Summary:

This position will serve as an Executive Assistant for the Office of Governor Katie Hobbs.

This will include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and tasks related to functions of the office.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing high-level executive administrative support to three to four members of the senior leadership team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Executive Administrative support to several members of the senior leadership team: scheduling appointments, assisting with administrative projects, maintaining contact lists, etc

• Knowledge and experience of appropriate computer software including Google Suite and Microsoft Suite

• Exhibit polite and professional communication in person, via phone and e-mail

• Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and briefing materials

• Respond to correspondence (via letters, email, phone) from constituents

• Carry out administrative duties such as filing, copying, scanning etc

• Answer phone calls, schedule and coordinate meetings

• Coordinate and support in-state and out-of-state travel

• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license, personal auto insurance, and ability to use personal vehicle for work travel

• At least three years of administrative assistant experience is preferred

• Must reside within commuting distance to Phoenix

• Ability to successfully pass a background check

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

• Familiarity with state government and the state legislative process

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Travel and Driving Requirements:

• Employees will be expected to use their personal vehicles and will be reimbursed for mileage according to Arizona state guidelines

• The Executive Assistant may be expected to travel up to 10% of the time, within the Greater Phoenix Area

• For greater distances, employees will be given access to a vehicle and reimbursed for gasoline

• All employees must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance
