Events Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of the Marketing team, the Events Coordinator is responsible for executing event strategies in support of Alarm.com’s business goals. This individual will work with Marketing, Sales and Product Management, and other internal teams to ensure that all event marketing enhances Alarm.com’s brand awareness, drives lead-generation which equates to measurable revenue, and maximizes the company's Return on Investment (ROI) for all event activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities include performing day-to-day management of all phases of event management for both trade events and Alarm.com sponsored events. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Coordination of all event related logistics 
• Communication of responsibilities, deliverables and timelines to internal and external stakeholders
• Budget management 
• Event registration 
• Ordering and invoicing of show services 
• Managing vendors relating to exhibiting, meetings, and shipping
• Negotiating sponsorships and contracts 
• On-site Alarm.com employee logistics 
• Compilation and presentation of post-show metrics 

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment 
• 0-2 years corporate event planning and/or event management 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet constant deadlines 
• Outstanding project management skills, to include timely communication with all stakeholders
• Experience coordinating program components with multiple stakeholders 
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and execute show contracts and sponsorships in a professional manner 
• Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and maximize ROI 
• Assist with managing multiple ongoing relationships with supporting vendors and sponsors 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Outstanding attention to detail, highly organized 
• Very comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
• Proactive, creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated 
• Calm in the face of pressure, energetic, and excited about new technology 
• BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 10%
